The Bogdan Hemp Canvas Gilet, named after Corinna's grandpa, is a timeless, easy-to-wear style crafted from a lighter version of our heavy-duty organic hemp blend canvas (330) that needs no break-in. The fabric offers natural comfort and only gets softer and better with wear and wash. With the lighter canvas, it is an easy layer all year-round.
You can find a lot of storage options for everything you need at hand as the gilet comes with two large top-loader pockets on the front with button closure, two smaller pockets on the side and a hidden extra pocket that can be folded out for smaller items or seed packages.
For unrestricted movement the gilet has a relaxed fit.
The flat, no-collar construction works great in combination with any kind of layering.
It has a glove holder and a double-layered, reinforced yoke, neck, and cuff, as well as triple-stitched seams to make this piece as long-lasting as possible.
On the back, we have an application inspired by the logo gilets from the local food market where we used to shop for groceries.
The garment is made with craft and hard labor in mind and works throughout the workshop, in the garden and in the hammock in equal measure.

Our heavy-duty hemp canvas is a 55% organic hemp / 28% recycled poly / 17% organic cotton blend construction at 9.7oz / 330 gsm and is ready to go from the start, no break-in needed. This fabric is made to be used excessively and without compromise. It will get better with wear and wash in terms of softness without losing strength and it will develop a nice patina.
It is a bit lighter than the 434 canvas version to make it easier for layering in warmer weather.
