1) Water The Goods is about design, uniform and craft - we create durable goods to build, grow and enjoy.

2) Water The Goods is a cooperative concept to connect with people through creation by two like-minded individuals, Corinna and Michael.

Inspired by the older generations around us, especially our grandparents,
we learned and saw how to live independently with a strong do-it-yourself mentality. Houses were built with the support of family and friends, gardens were grown, food was harvested, furniture was built and still in use today. When something broke it was fixed, when something didn’t fit it was mended. The folks were proud of their work- it was all done with full commitment and in the end everything that was made was enjoyed as well.

To forge our own paths we learned crafts as tailor, architectural draftsman, fashion designer, production manager, graphic designer and illustrator.
From early on we took inspiration from skateboarding, band merch, travelling, wabi-sabi, art  and nature.

When it comes to clothing we both have a long admiration and fascination for styles that stood the test of time as well as new developments and concepts, for instance patterns, weaves, fabrics, utilitarian details.
The beauty of aged fabric and the longevity of good workmanship is what makes our hearts beat.

From experience we enjoy working with organic fibers most as we value the natural comfort and performance of these fibers. Also we like the endless options offered by the use of different plants, each with their own qualities that could be combined. It is great how these fibers and fabrics age and become more beautiful over time.
To get the best of both worlds, we sometimes add a bit of (recycled) artificial fibers as they are a beneficial addition to the garments in terms of strength by weight ratio and drying properties.

This project is a work in progress to try out different things, reference proven blueprints of the past and add new ideas.
We produce our fabrics and garments in small partner factories around the world with people whose work we cherish and admire.
Besides our design and conception we make additional developments and some production in our studio on the edge of the Bavarian Prealps.
